Stand Up Pouches have become the most popular and versatile pouch configuration in the marketplace. The purpose of these Pouches with a bottom gusset is to display your product standing upright on a store shelf. The bottom gusset design also gives the pouch more space than a flat pouch of the same size.
DOYEN-STYLE STAND UP POUCH
The Doyen stand-up pouch is a popular choice with businesses. Its easy-to-use
configuration, lightweight feel, and sizeable printable surface area are perfect for bold
branding and displaying product information. It’s a fantastic choice for packaging slightly heavier products as the gusset can hold the weight within the pouch with less risk of tearing.
•The Doyen Style Stand Up Pouch (AKA Doy Pouch or Happy Face Pouch) is identified by the rounded or “U” shaped seal that runs across the bottom of the pouch.
•Notice the blue area of the pouch image. This pouch is very similar to the K-style in that the gusset helps bear the load, helping to prevent tearing, whilst the bottom seals allow it to stand on its own.
•Like the K-style pouch, the Doyen-Style configuration permits using different material types on each panel. For example, you could choose a transparent front panel to show off your product, with a sturdy foil back panel.
